I think this is better than the George Harrison one - and immediately recognizeable as John. The style looks a bit rough, but that gives it character, a lot of grayscale art just looks like a straight conversion.
thanks! I do tend to find myself switching characters for different shades / shapes as I work on the piece.. sometimes just because I think I use characters like #, %, $ etc, too much, which becomes very monotonous. Thanks for the comment and I'm glad you like this one!
notepad.. a big picture of the let it be album next to it.. i just usually work line by line, but if something doesn't look right, i scoot my chair back a few feet from my desk and just play around with different letters and such until i'm a little satisfied.. takes probably about an hour and a half for these last few.
